Galaxy Resin Art/Clock

About Resin Play

Founded by Elaine Tan, Resin Play is a place to share her joy and satisfaction of working with resin. With close to 8 years of experience in working with resins, Elaine has accumulated a wealth of knowledge in resin and jewellery making that she is happy to share and pass on through her workshops.

Having spent many years sourcing and experimenting with different brands of resins and mould-making supplies, Elaine has personally selected the very best of them and made them readily available at Resin Play. Understanding how difficult it is to get good quality materials locally, she continuously strives to ensure that students and artists alike can get their hands on only what works, without having to spend unnecessary time and money on trial and error.

The brands that we carry – Amado GudekAlfie De Meow and Analog Cufflinks – are the brainchildren of Elaine.

About the workshop

As this is a more advanced class, you will need to be familiar with working with resin in order to fully benefit from this workshop. Hence, we require students to first attend our basic resin art workshop before joining this class.

This workshop would be focused on tricks and techniques involved in creating galaxy art using artist powder pigments and resin.

Participants will create one piece of artwork on a 6″ x 6″ artist’s Gesso board (1/2″ cradled), with the option to top up $35 for another board.

This price does not include the assembly component of the clock. Should you wish to convert your galaxy art work into a clock, you may also purchase premium, high quality, US made Takane mini quartz clock movements from us at $15 (to be paid in cash at the class), subject to availability. We will assist you to drill the holes required for the clock hands installation.

All participants can enjoy 10% off resin and mould supplies on the day of the workshop.

By registering for this workshop, you agree to Resin Play’s Terms and Conditions.

We use certified non-toxic, non-hazardous resin in our workshop, which is safe to use for kids too. However, if you are known to be allergic to resin of any form, we do not recommend you to join the workshop. Participants must follow our safety instructions to avoid any harm. We will not be liable for any damages or allergy reactions caused during the workshop.

Artwork Collection

It takes minimally 5 hours for the resin to cure. Participants may pick up their artworks from our studio during our store opening hours once their artworks have fully cured.
